How We Started

Samina pure mineral makeup started as a personal quest to find makeup without any animal and alcohol content, which would also be cruelty free.  The founder Samina, was horrified to find that many High Street brands contain animal and alcohol derived ingredients, if not both then either one or the other.  However without scientific knowledge it is very difficult for the average person to know this.  What was also apparent was that most beauty products contain chemicals, parbens and preservatives, all of which can cause irritation to the skin, especially to those with sensitive or problem skin.

This inspired her to develop her own unique range of completely pure and natural beauty products which would use the highest quality ingredients, and come with a purity assurance in the form of the Halal accreditation. ( Halal is a purity assurance which complies to very strict guide lines, ensuring all ingredients tracing right back to their raw sources and production procedures are all checked and verified as free from  animal and alcohol derived ingredients) The brand is named after Samina which also means healthy.

Our products are developed without the use of animal testing and with true care and respect for our environment. We will not conduct or commission any animal tests at any time during or after development or launch of the product. Nor do we condone such testing.   We do not use Animal Derived Ingredients.  And that includes our brushes, which are all vegan.
Our Environment - We always consider the environment; this is also evident in our packaging as we will not use any unnecessary packaging.  We will always use the options which best serves our environment.

About Our products:

Our Makeup is made using the finest natural ingredients with a fusion of plant extracts, pure natural minerals, essential oils and vitamins, blended together to form simply the most beautiful form of makeup. 

Samina Pure Mineral Makeup is versatile, long-lasting and hypo-allergenic, and has a high content of Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide; both are naturally occurring sunscreens.  All the makeup is non-comedogenic which means it will not block your pores, so even when you are ‘made up’ your skin can breathe.  It is waterproof so it will not come off easily when you sweat, making it perfect for humid conditions or for working out in the gym!  You’ll never again have that heavy, caked on feeling that you get with traditional makeup products.

Where possible we select Certified Organic, such as Certified Organic Shea Butter; Certified Organic Castor Oil; Certified Organic Jojoba Oil; Certified Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil... just to name a few. All of our Certified Organic Ingredients are listed with a '*' after them so you know exactly which ingredients are Certified Organic

Mineral Makeup has been around for thousands of years, used by ancient Egyptians, it is the purest, most natural form of makeup available, made from naturally occurring minerals found in the earth which is purified, crushed into fine powders, and is the most hypoallergenic makeup today.   Minerals are pure natural pigments that will blend easily and provide superior coverage that is actually healthy for your skin.   True Mineral Foundations are made up entirely of minerals, which when pulped, become a silk-like powder consisting of Mica, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide and Iron Oxides.  These Minerals, by nature, scatter light, so they are deflected from the skin rather than absorbed by it. They are also anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial.
